Mary Bouley: Her friends, fellow collectors and colleagues in the antiques world say, “Mary Bouley’s door was always open, and the coffee was always on”.
Her family says Mary got hooked on collecting way back in the1960’s. In 1973, Mary opened her shop in Hubbardston, Massachusetts, “Sugar House Antiques”, next to her mid-1700’s home. The shop was named for the sugar house also located on the property.
Mary was a fixture on the New England antique show trail as both a buyer and a seller. She was often seen at shows in Brimfield, Acton, Palmer and Paxton, MA as well as Amherst, Nashua and Fitzwilliam, NH. Mary took joy in her collection. The pride is evident today in both the shop and in her home when you see the care in her displays.
We are pleased to sell Mary Bouley’s collection from her home and from Sugar House Antiques. The doors will be open again, and we’ll have the coffee on.
